The Bagmati Mega Campaign has reached a remarkable milestone, completing 630 consecutive weeks of dedicated river cleanup and environmental awareness efforts.
Launched over 12 years ago, the campaign has become a symbol of sustained civic responsibility, mobilizing more than 1.5 millions of volunteers, communities, and organizations in the mission to restore and protect the sacred Bagmati River. This achievement highlights the power of collective action in addressing urban pollution and promoting environmental sustainability in Nepal.
This week was special. As the campaigners have done a plantation of tree seedlings and done some cleaning afterwards. By taking out 1.5ton of waste material which was thrown in the river.
